Hello All,
Today we went to Greenfield Village which was really cool... Henry Ford brought many buildings there from his childhood and his friends homes as well. I don't want to say he was rich but.... He tore down his childhood home and then had it re-assembled there, same with a beautiful cottage his wife fell in love with in England... It's here in Michigan now...I said to Gary"Why don't you do something like that for me?" HA!  I can't repeat what he said as my young nephews are following our trip blog.
We rode the train around the village and near the end we saw something very special for my 3 year old nephew and #1 Godson Derek. So for just a minute I need to talk to Derek...
Hey Buddy, Ta-Ta had a little chat today with Thomas the Tank Engine. He was visiting the village today and Uncle Dodgie and I saw him and went to have our picture taken with him and tell him all about you. I told him how much you love him and his friends and he said to tell you how happy he is that you love him and Percy. He said to keep enjoying your trains and he was happy to hear all about you.  Ta-Ta loves you Buddy and misses your smiling face....
The village was awesome and I got to fulfill one of my life long dreams which was to blow glass. I made a beautiful cobalt blue flower. Really I made it, I did everything but put the glass on the rod, the "real" glass blower did that! But I smashed down the glob of molten glass, then I pulled the hot glass out to make the petals and then pulled a long piece for the stem. It was so cool! I loved it! I always thought I could do it, and have wanted to do it for many, many years, so it was amazing to have that experience today.
On the way home I smelled something like wires burning and told Gar it must be that old red van in front of us.... Nope! It was us! Ok car, really? I am pretty sick of you breaking something every day of this trip.. Really? Really? I'll let Gary tell you what happened today, but we typed this whole entry once already tonight and something happened and we lost everything! So he might type about it tomorrow, he doesn't have the patience to do it all again tonight. Trust me I get it, I'm not near as clever and funny this second time around....
Tomorrow we are off to Cleveland to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I am looking forward to that!
I'm going to try and inset a few pics tonight, so hopefully this will work. One Special one for Derek and a couple of others so you can see what we have been doing....
See ya on the Road,
Ter  :)

  3. Hi Auntie Ta-Ta,
Derek LOVES this picture of you and Thomas, and he was so glad that you said hello to Thomas on his behalf. But, the first thing
he said when he saw it was, "Derek ride?". Mmmmm.....I'm gonna let Auntie Ta-Ta answer that question! Ha! Thanks for the note and pic -- he loved it. :)
